Springing the dilemma between Winter and Spring
Here comes the spring. Winter chill has not gone completely, yet here comes the spring. Rain showers here and there. Yet those little yellow blossoms sprung from nowhere. They are standing in rows to remind me of bright sunny days ahead. Oh! Look here! Pure white snow drops! On one hand, they appear to be thrilled to welcome spring with their open petals! Yet their drooping heads seem to be thinking whether the gardens should be filled with light green shoots first or yesterday’s muddy brown fallen leaves.
That’s right! The snow drops’ dilemma is my dilemma too! My postbox is full of gardening magazines, and a variety of gardening tools are on my amazon recommendations. TV is blaring with gardening tips, and supermarkets are smelling compost bags.
This is spring coming. The Spring is in the air. The chills, the winds, the rain drops and the fresh fragrance… every bit is spring. There is spring in my step and the spring is literally on my door step. The world is cooing along with cuckoo. New shoots are enjoying the stunningly pretty new world. Once again the nature is getting ready for its annual show of colours! A seamless beauty is counting down for its curtain raise!
The gardener in me is getting ready. Did I ever stop gardening? Until this last week, I was raking those fallen leaves. Muddy patches from relentless rain turning those brown organic material into delicious feasts for the soil and breeding grounds for endless microbiological wonders! How do I recognise the pesky pests from friendly organisms? How much can I withstand the scent of this mulch? Should I sing rain….rain… go away? My garden boots cover my feet with mud and fingers are coated with homemade compost! I don’t hear a rainy spring song!!! My ears are well adjusted to my back breaking beats!!!!
….. and then it happened! I definitely saw this!! Am sure I heard it!!! A snow drop raised its head and smiled at Narcissus!!! I swear, it winked at the yellow awesome!!!!! Just then I hear a slow number on nature’s symphony from its Spotify list….. Nature’s dilemma…Gardening greens… or gardening blues?????
